When your purchasing your fist set of shoes for your child to walk in. Is it necessarily better to go with name brands? Are they really worth the price?

When I was a child my father often bought the name brands shose for me but I thought the shoses I had worn is not diffent from others.

I feel to not necessarily want to choose name brands not, the shoes that suit sons and daughters is ok
