Wow I recently went to prom and the difference in shoes between guys and girls is crazy! Boys really couldn't care less on what there shoes look like and some girls spend up to 50 dollars on a pair of shoes. Tell me why don't I just wear flip flops then I could match my boyfriend.

Only $50? I though women needed to spend a minimum of $150 on a pair of shoes! Anything less that and they aren't cool. Any of the kids, girls, wearing $700 shoes?

Yes, I know, girls do go way out of their way with shoes. Just to add to the confusion of why they spend money on dress shoes is this: half of the time, girls are taller than their boyfriend and just kick the shoes off as soon as they hit the door.

Also, most of those $50+ shoes are very uncomfortable, so they aren't good for dancing. Guess what? They are at a DANCE!~~

So, the expensive shoes, once again, get kicked off just inside the door.

Girls go "all out" on their dresses and shoes for prom because it is their night! They want to be beautiful for their date. And everybody knows that high school is one big competition! So they do whatever it takes to look better than others. Guys don't go all out with their shoes because you can wear all kinds of shoes to make it look good with your tux.

We boys don't have to buy expensive shoes to go on balls or proms like you girls do. I have this date back when I was in high school (on a prom night) and she doesn't even have to wear an expensive shoe because she is already stunning and beautiful. Thus, it means that women just wanted to try to look good by showing off their shoes rather than their faces.

Of course, girls always want to be fabulous in all sense. Actually it makes no sense at all. Those fancy shoes are just a show off and just way too expensive just for a night. I would rather choose a good flip - flop than a $500 shoes (I could even by my whole outfit for the prize of that shoes).

I also think you shouldn't go all out like that on shoes. There is just no reason for it.

I would recommend buying shoes for events like prom a little early. You would get better deals. Around prom time price go up because companies know people will pay higher for what they want.
