What kind of basketball shoes should I get? I want a pair only to wear while playing and theres no specific color I need.

Things to Look for in Basketball Shoes

Durability

Whether you're playing on a concrete court in a public park, or on the floor of a first class gymnasium, your shoes are going to get a work out. Look for quality brands and materials that will stand up to all of the up and down the court action you're bound to encounter.

Stability Support and Cushioning

Of course, your basketball shoes will are going to need first class stability, so, look shoes that feature mid-foot, heel and ankle support, as well as a quality lacing system. You'll also want to consider a lot of padding in the shoe for load distribution and added cushioning. After all, countless jump shots can cause quite an impact on your feet.

Breathability

During a game, you're going to sweat. Look for basketball shoes with uppers made of leather, nylon, mesh, or other breathable material to remain as cool as you can.

Style

Half of the fun in buying basketball shoes, is in getting a pair that looks great, and makes all your buddies jealous.

Wearing shoes of a particular color to discourage opponents? I hope that has been proven to work. Make sure you get sneakers that fit so that you dont strain your legs. Visit the AND 1's official website because they often showcase good sneakers that can be shipped to you. If you need to slamdunk, get those that will give you flight

Get what is comfortable and not necessarily 'stylish'. Alternatively, get to the court and try out as many as you can. What may work for will not most likely be the conventional types of shoes.

For a person that has been in the basketball scene for long, that is not a question that you can dare seek answers for.

I agree with pale_o there. I believe that you will perform better if you are comfortable on what you are wearing and it is not about on the style really, but at times you must also take that in consideration for you might be laughed out for a very serious fashion victim. (just kidding), But seriously speaking, you must be comfortable enough to move gracefully and move more than wearing a stylish one that might prohibits you from moving more.

Well comfortably certainly is the very first factor to consider in buying a pair of shoes, most especially if that shoes is for athletes. I would like to add durability in the list of what to consider in buying shoes. When I buy a pair of shoe i always go for the pair that will last longer than those pairs with low quality. I feel like investing in my stuffs whenever i purchase one.

Comfortability yes, and definitely availability and affordability (hey lots of -lity's huh). When we buy stuffs we should consider some or i mean lots of factors. Do we have the money to buy that stuff or are we to look good when we wear them, it is not just buying a piece of candy that when you don't want the taste you will throw it all immediately. Think of this as you go shopping.

Nice advice over there Chuck, but i think when people plans to go shopping for a nice pair of shoes i bet they have money.. they wouldn't attempt to go shopping if they don't have the money right?

Well, for now i am looking for some site that could provide some sort of affordable, and yet very nice pair of shoes.

Still, the most comfortable shoe does not make the player, just as much as the player does not, and never has made the game. In fact, if not the for the game, the player would not even exist. This is why one also needs to take these factors into account prior to getting a new sporting shoe, matter not the event.

If I could create my own style of sneaker, I would have done so a very long time ago. I so wish that the average citizen had access to such outlets, as we would then be able to significantly progress in this world that is designed for much less.

Playing any sports like basketball requires players to wear appropriate and comfortable shoes I must say. With all of those shoes, you might get confused on which one to buy but I must say that it is better to shop firsthand so that you can be able to see the shoe physically and try the fit. But well there is nothing wrong with ordering online. Good luck on your shoe shopping.
